Even more bags
Yesterday evening I immediately started a bag, which is actually a crochet bag, and it is in a bowling bag style. It is going to be smashing! No pictures yet, but I will add one when it is worth it, or you will be able to see a decent progress. I make it in brown cotton (Cristal Palace cotton), and in a contrast color, but I haven’t yet decided which. Mauve or yellow? We’ll see.
I will have to add a cardboard support to the base, which means I will have to make the base twice as wide as in the pattern, to be able to hold it in half, and hide the cardboard inside. I will use smaller hooks for the sides, to make it strong enough to self support. The closure will be a zipper, and it is going to have two handles, crocheted as well.
I had no time to mine the second hand shops yet, for great bag handles, but I have a few old bags at home, I might go through them this weekend.
Again I wish the day would consist of 48 hours. So many things to do, and so little time…
