Bags, Bags, Bags.
On the WAMP I sold a beaded knitting bag, and I could have sell a lot more. So I decided to make a few knitting bags for the next one, instead of more bead crochet jewelry, I think I have enough of that stuff now.
I immediately started to search for inspiration on the net. Ooooooooh my GOD! Being a woman, I know there is no such thing as too much bags, shoes, jewelry. But all that gorgeous bags I’ve found! I want them all!!! And with the knitted bags the great thing is that I will be able to make them! I have the idea of searching the thrift shops for old bags, to use the handles. And maybe old cabled sweaters, to turn them into bags, without too much efforts. I love cables, but making them takes too much time for me yet. I thought that I will look for wool sweaters, and felt them , and again, use them to make bags.
But I had found a lot of patterns and inspiration which I will have to knit myself. But this is going to be FUN! Look at all these beauties:
Somehow I feel that knitting a bag would be an instant gratification, but when you really think it over, it is not. Look at all that cables, for example. Or that intricate diamond pattern. That is my favourite though. Deep inside I hope that I will find a similar sweater in that above mentioned thrift shop, and I will be able to make one fast…
