Hahh, the purses!

Published by mityka under Bags, Etsy, Knitting, Miscellaneous, Work

I had a wonderful business from meowcraft from Etsy. http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5608076
She offers free worldwide shipping, which is a bonus for me. And I have bought a nice lot of purse handles, and purse frames from her. Great stuff! And yes, I’m going to knit a few little purses, and probably a nice big handbag. I’m trying [...]

Chicken-pox

Published by mityka under Miscellaneous

Oh, yes. After a week off because of Sára being ill, she went to kindergarten - for one day. The next day she had itching spots all over her body. Chicken-pox. I was waiting for this to happen, but still, it was kind of a shock.
The good news are:
- Sára has taking it easily. Of course [...]

After a week off

Published by mityka under Knitting, Miscellaneous

I was on sick leave with Sára for a week, and guess what? I could manage to actually knit - a lot!!!
I was so tired and exhausted though, that I was sleeping whenever I could manage - got up late in the morning (9-10 am), and took an afternoon nap with Sára, and usually went [...]

Dropped needles

Published by mityka under Knitting, Miscellaneous, Work

Sára is ill, and I’m exhausted. She had high fever for a few days, and poor thing was quite miserable. Now she is better, but still can’t breath properly because of her full nose. I feel sorry for her, and I can’t sleep either. Today I was home with her,  (my mother was looking after [...]

Published by mityka under Beading, Knitting, Miscellaneous

How cute is this? I just bought the pattern at the Knitting Zone. If all goes well, the on the May market I will have my own flock. This is a bead-knitted pin. I can see a lot of ways to use this cutie.
Now, this is the Origami sweater, shown by Kalani herserf. Gorgeous [...]

Janet was found

Published by mityka under Bags, Beading, Etsy, Knitting, Miscellaneous

I have finally found the Janet crossover sweater’s pattern. I’m still not that happy…. I have the feeling that this one would not fit no matter how I will assembly. Anyway. I will give it a try, and if it doesn’t fit, I will sell it on the next WAMP. The next WAMP is actually [...]

Skirts

Published by mityka under Crochet, Knitting

The word is that knitted skirts unflattering. I’m not sure. Probably because I have good experiences with knitted skirts. I had an A-line dark blue knitted skirt, made by my mom. It was a fine knitting, probably on 3,5-4mm needles, with a crocheted edging. It must have took her for ages to finish. I loved [...]

Colorwork

Published by mityka under Knitting, Miscellaneous

My first colorwork was the hat I have published here in one of my first posts, and ever since I keep thinking about making something coloured again. But this time something different. Fair Isle is something that requires more confidence than I’ve got so far.
And guess what I have found:
 Yes. Amazing, isn’t it? It doesn’t [...]

New patterns

Published by mityka under Knitting, Miscellaneous

Recently I scored a few new patterns. Not that I’m in need of patterns, but you know how this works. I want to collect all the patterns and all the yarns to go with, and I pray that I will have time to knit them all before I die. Heh.
I have bought the Shocking! skirt [...]

Dog Sweaters

Published by mityka under Knitting, Miscellaneous

I was going to write about celebrity knitting, but then I saw that there is a lot of articles in this topic. So I dropped the subject. The one I’m going to write about it now is animals in knitted/crochet gear. I know, there is a lot of articles about this too. But I still [...]
